This is great! My concern is where to park a trailer! most campgrounds are expensive and other places are not safe!
that was great, the tips about how to be really energy efficient could be applied anywhere!
Homeless people should be given rv’s to live in so they dont have to live inhumanely.
Yes ….. That is a big problem. Campgrounds and RV parks charge $300 – $500 a month, you can get an 600 -square-foot apartment for that much.
I would like a video on RV living with tips on safe free areas, with access to water, sewage hookups and power.
I agree, I’m a fulltime workamper, but can’t find an rv park to work at therefore I am homeless! No work, no pay, no lot!
Luckily I have family that love me enough to allow me to stay with them until we find our next destination or paying rv park.
There’s lots of info out there – you can do it full time too!
Nice Video! I wish I could live like that! But during winter in Canada, it easily goes down to around -30 Degree Celsius (-22 Farenheit). lol
Yea anywhere it gets too cold, a travel trailer isn’t very good. Why don’t they make much better insulated travel trailers? Like make it common. You can get a lot of insulation in a small thickness using modern tech. Wouldn’t increase the price much either.
Or maybe they should get a job and buy one!
The less space you have to heat the easier to heat the home your in.
You have to buy your own property these days because there are too many greedy bastards here in america takinng over as much as they can for their dictatorship. Its relatively easy to find property and buy it here in america. Thats what i am going to do. Buy my property and have my home made on it. I have one of those smaller homes made as a guest home in the back yard though.
Great video. I admire the minimalist lifestyle. I’m one person trying to make a difference. I’ve been working at reducing my electricity & water usage. I have reduced my electric usage by about 65%, and water by about 90%. I still have too much house. I think I’m aiming at living exactly like this video. We all need to stop the madness of excess.
we live in a camper on the back of my truck, 60 sq ft, and have space left over
Great video! I may consider the possibility of me living in a 5th wheel trailer. I just have to save up enough money to buy one.
I’m a full time camper myself and it does save alot to be in one although I’d rather be in a house. I’ve learned to deal with it and be thankful for what I have for the time being.
I have been living in a camper all most 10 years. But i have a real job …
Why live in a travel trailer when it is illegal to park it anywhere if you live in it? Renting a space in a RV park is the same price as renting an apartment.
Wrong! Friend lives at a campground and pays $1,080 a year to live there, including electricity and water. Also has an on ground bathroom/shower area if you don’t have one. Also has an in ground pool and hot tub area. It’s also not illegal to park it anywhere; some areas but not all.
To Redneckz284: what area is this campground located that only charges around $80 a month to park your RV including elec and water?
this looks like it might have been a small segment of a larger video – if so can someon please post a link to the full segment?
@sumitino It was part of a larger shoot. You can find the other videos on faircompanies (dot com), if you search the following titles: 1) Scavenging the trash of overconsumption: Bio-diesel Hauling 2) Staying out of eco-debt w/bikes & 60mpg motorcycle
no you wouldnt if you live in an rv and scraping by you would be starving to death and tryin to sell ur house for chump change to get an rv and escape the gov like im trying to now. i made a bad move coming back to this country and buying a home, oh well.
i like it. If i were to me to the countryside i would consider living in one
Al Gore is sucking up the energy that this guy doesn’t use in order to power one of his several mansions.
Good job, guy.
I’m ready to sell my house now (cheap) to buy an RV & love your tips will go check out the other vids
